Jones worried about ‘self-destructive’ Luton

Town manager Nathan was left frustrated by the ‘self-destructive’ tendency that revealed itself again on Saturday when the collapsed to a 3-0 loss against .

The home side had started brightly enough at Kenilworth Road, only for it all to go downhill when captain Scott Cuthbert gave away a penalty and was sent off for a pull back on Keshi Anderson.

And Jones expressed worry at the number of capitulations from his side of late: “I’m concerned with a certain self-destructive button we have within us at the minute as that’s the biggest thing,” he said.

“We’ve always got a little error in us, even we came back to 2-2 it was a pen, but that’s the thing we could have lost that game.

“In terms of little free kicks we give away in bad areas when we’re not doing our jobs correctly and that’s the disappointing thing at the minute.

“It’s been symptomatic of us really in terms of a real great opportunity for us, two home games after two real tough away games to really get back into winning ways and we didn’t.

“We always seem to shoot ourselves in the foot, always seem to do something silly, and those are things we have to eradicate.”

The Hatters will look to pick up their first win in four games when they host basement dwellers Port tomorrow night.
