It's been in the works for a few days, and Birmingham have now confirmed the signing of defender Harlee Dean from Championship rivals Brentford.
The 26-year-old has penned a three-year deal at St. Andrew's, with the option for a further year. He'd spent six years at Brentford since signing for the club in 2011, clocking up 249 appearances and 10 goals.
He helped the Bees win promotion to the Championship in the 2013-14 season and has twice won the club's Player of the Year award. He will wear the number 12 shirt for the Blues.
Dean joins a substantial list of summer recruits for Harry Redknapp's side, including the likes of Marc Roberts, Craig Gardner, David Stockdale and Carl Jenkinson.
Earlier in the day Redknapp reflected on his side's business, telling Birmingham's official website: “I've got to say that the backing I have had from the board, the owners, has been fantastic.
“It's not been an easy window, it's proved very hard for a lot of teams. The money flying around is crazy. We've had some frustrations.
“But I've got to say that everyone here has been pulling together and working extremely hard to enhance the team, the squad.”
