Fulham turn down Ross McCormack’s transfer request

The 29-year-old has been the subject of reported interest from Middlesbrough in recent weeks.

Fulham have turned down a transfer request from star striker Ross McCormack.

The 29-year-old has been the subject of reported interest from Middlesbrough during the current transfer window and today’s developments would seem to suggest that he is keen on a move up north.

McCormack joined Fulham from Leeds in 2014 for a reported fee of £11 million and has scored 32 goals in 71 appearances for the West London side.

The Scotsman’s performances have been a real hit with Fulham fans and he was awarded the club’s Player of the Year award last season.

Suspicions were raised about McCormack’s future with Fulham at the weekend after he was left out of the side that lost to Hull. However the club claimed the striker missed out through illness.

Fulham are currently sitting in 19th place in the Championship and have lost three of their last four league games.
