Money from Afobe sale makes purchase of long-term target likely after Wolves confirm ‘significant bid’

are in advanced talks to sign City striker Joe Mason.

have offered £3m for the 24-year-old whom manager has long admired with a bid last summer rejected by the Welsh club.
