Gaetano Berardi has signed a contact extension at Leeds United to keep him at the club until 2018.
The Swiss defender has been a regular presence in the Leeds side this season and has been rewarded for his services with a new deal. His previous contract was due to expire at the end of this season.
Berardi, who joined from Sampdoria in July 2014 and has has one cap for Switzerland, said: “I’m very happy here, the city and everything is very good”.
Leeds United have started the season relatively well under Uwe Rosler and currently sit in 10th place after beating MK Dons 2-1 on Saturday.
