League One side Scunthorpe United have sacked manager Nick Daws, just four games into the new season.
The 48-year-old was given the permanent managerial job at Glanford Park in May after impressing during a stint as caretaker following the dismissal of previous boss.
Daws has been on the books at Scunthorpe since leaving QPR to become First Team Coach in 2014, going on to serve under =Mark Robins and Alexander.
It is believed that the former Scunthorpe boss was informed of his fate shortly after Wednesday's crushing 5-0 defeat at the hands of Fleetwood.
