ALEX NEIL used his first interview as Millwall boss to stress the long-term nature of his remit at The Den.
“I see it as a very similar sort of project to when I went into Preston,” said the Scot, who has won promotions with Hamilton, Norwich and Sunderland.
“I had to go in there and develop a style of play, maybe bring some of the younger players through.
“It wasn’t an overnight thing - it was a gradual process. It took time.”
