WHEN Ethan Ampadu and Ilia Gruev suffered long-term injuries within days of each other, all the talk around Leeds was of the need to sign a free agent.
How ridiculous that sounds now. Not only have Ao Tanaka and Joe Rothwell filled the midfield void, they have done it so magnificently that there is now genuine doubt about whether either man should be dropped.
