Businessman Doug King has reportedly agreed a deal to buy 85 per cent of Coventry from owners Sisu.
But that was before Mike Ashley took possession of the CBS Arena, whose owners Arena Coventry Limited (ACL) had fallen into administration.
King made a £25m offer for the stadium at a court hearing on Thursday, which was dismissed by the judge for a “lack of substance”. It was subsequently sold to ex-Newcastle owner Ashley in a prearranged deal worth £17m. Will King stick around?
