IT TAKES a special kind of manager to unite a fanbase. Markus Schopp, for all the wrong reasons, pulled it off.
When the Austrian was sacked by Barnsley last Sunday, 24 hours after overseeing a seventh straight defeat, Tykes rejoiced in unison.
On social media and online message boards, not one dissenting opinion could be seen. Nobody thought the Austrian should be given more time. Nobody decried a lack of patience.
