With 21 games of the League Two season remaining, Walsall were 15 points clear of fourth place and seemingly cruising towards automatic promotion.
With 19 games remaining, moving into this weekend, that gap has been cut to 11 points.
Following the return of top scorer Nathan Lowe to his parent club Stoke City, questions are being asked about the road ahead.
From the outside, it still looks like a done deal.
