TEMPTING as it is to roll your eyes at Tyrhys Dolan’s claim to be “better than anyone”, the Blackburn youngster’s confidence should be cherished.
There is plenty of time for the
19-year-old to become cynical and jaded, his natural exuberance inhibited by the mistakes that are an inevitable part of growing up.
One need only look at Wilfried Zaha, a better player at 28 than he was at 17, but far less joyous to watch.
Back then, the Ivorian would beat the same player twice, just for the fun of it, and seemed to exist purely to elicit gasps of wonder...
