Former Birmingham and Cardiff defender Darren Purse shares his football memories

First match?
My earliest memory was watching Millwall v Sheffield Wednesday when I was about eight. We used to go The Den a lot, and that day Trevor Francis came out and got a load of abuse from the home fans. But I watched his warm-up. It was really long and I was blown away by how professional he was. It opened my eyes to what it takes to be a professional footballer and, ironically, I played under him at Birmingham!

That would be Tony Adams. I was lucky enough to play for Arsenal as a teenager...
