Ainsworth adds ‘keeper as Ma-Kalambay joins Wycombe

manager has made a dip into the free agent market today, as goalkeeper Yves Ma-Kalambay joins on a short-term deal until January.

The 31-year-old has been brought in to provide competition and cover for first choice Chairboys shot-stopper Scott , having trained with the club for the past few weeks.

The DR Congo international has enjoyed a sporadic career, starting with in 2006 before a three year spell with Scottish side Hibernian.

He joined in 2010, before spending four years in Belgium with KV Mechelen and Royal Antwerp. He most recently turned out for Romanian side Otelul Galati in 2015.

Ainsworth was pleased with the addition, telling ‘s official website: “Yves came to our attention thanks to the excellent relationship we have with Chelsea, and [he] has a superb pedigree which will give us extra strength in the goalkeeping department.

“He’s looked very sharp in training and it will benefit us to have a second ‘keeper on the books. Barry Richardson can’t continue as our back-up forever so it makes sense to bring Yves to the club and we look forward to seeing how he gets on over the next four months.”

Ma-Kalambay will wear the number 30 shirt at Adams Park and his move is subject to international clearance.
