Leyton Orient bring in Gavin Massey from Colchester

League Two side Leyton Orient have signed winger Gavin Massey from Colchester United for an undisclosed fee.

The 23-year-old made 42 appearances for the U’s last season but could not prevent the Essex side from dropping out of League One.

Massey came through the academy at Watford and made seven first team appearances for the Hornets before joining Colchester on a free transfer in 2012.

The midfielder went on to play over 150 times for the U’s, scoring 20 goals in the process.

Massey becomes the third player to arrive at Brisbane Road this summer following the signings of defender Josh Doherty and midfielder Robbie Weir on Monday.
