Ward: Decision highlights depth

UPBEAT defender Benn Ward reckons Reading’s decision to play on over the international break is a signal of their strength and ambition.
EFL clubs are allowed to call games off if they have three or more players called up for international duty, but the Royals waived that right despite call-ups for midfielders Andy Rinomhota (Zimbabwe) and Charlie Savage (Wales) plus defender Jeriel Dorsett (Montserrat).
