PNE SUFFER BLOW AS ALI IS RULED OUT

CHAMPIONSHIP

PRESTON captain Ali McCann could be out until 2027 after undergoing surgery on a hamstring injury.
The 26-year-old limped off during the 4-0 Carabao Cup defeat to Everton.
It was initially hoped no operation would be required, but the injury has not healed as expected.
“Ali had his operation on Tuesday and we were all pleased with how it went,” said Preston boss Paul Heckingbottom.
