U’s defender backs loan star to shine

OXFORD United’s Jack Currie believes on-loan Tottenham starlet Will Lankshear is destined for the big time.
Lankshear, 20, was a prolific scorer in youth football, notching 38 goals in 48 appearances for Sheffield United’s age groups before making a £2m switch to Spurs in 2022.
He subsequently netted 23 times for Tottenham’s Under-21 side in the 2023-24 Premier League 2 campaign and bagged his first for the senior team in a Europa League game away at Galatasaray the following season.
