Central midfielder Jorge Grant knows he could not have a better role model than childhood hero Paul Scholes after being switched to an inside-left position at Salford City.

Scholes was famously pushed wider to accommodate Steven Gerrard and Frank Lampard during the latter years of his England career – a duty he also fulfilled for Manchester United if Ryan Giggs was unavailable.
Now, having been asked to make the same transition by Ammies boss Karl Robinson, Grant is receiving tips from the club’s co-owner Scholes.
