GUEHI’S OUT – THEN HE’S IN

IS IT just me or did anyone else find it ludicrous that Marc Guehi was playing for Manchester City against Salford in the FA Cup last weekend?
Knocked out by Macclesfield while playing for holders Crystal Palace last month, the England centre-back came off the bench and scored City’s second to kill off the Ammies last weekend.
The FA have amended their rules to allow players to appear for more than one club in the same campaign in the competition proper (though you can’t play for two different teams in the same round). Why they have done that is beyond me.
