FORMER Football League stalwart Peter Clarke celebrated making his 1,000th appearance in senior football on Tuesday night – and then admitted it was all thanks to the good lady wife!
The 43-year-old was given a guard of honour from players and officials to mark his milestone as he led out Prescot Cables for their rearranged FA Trophy tie against Lancaster City.
