AKINS IS BACK AT STAGS AFTER HIS JAIL STAY

LUCAS Akins has returned to the first-team fold at Mansfield Town following his release from prison.
The 36-year-old forward was involved in a car crash in Huddersfield in 2022 that resulted in the death of cyclist Adrian Daniel.
He was jailed for 14 months in April after pleading guilty to causing death by careless or inconsiderate driving.
It is understood that Akins - who has scored 28 goals in 154 games for the Stags - was released after serving half of his sentence, with the other half to be served on probation.
