SAMPSON HAS THE CHANCE TO LAND TOP JOB

NORTHAMPTON Town owner Kelvin Thomas says caretaker manager Ian Sampson is auditioning for the job on a fulltime basis.
Cobblers legend Sampson took charge following the shock departure of long-serving manager Jon Brady earlier this month.
It is the 56-year-old’s second stint in the dugout at Sixfields following a two-year spell in charge between 2009 and 2011, and it got off to the best possible start with a 2-1 victory over Peterborough in the Nene derby on Monday.
