Arsenal Want to Have Big Signings in 2025; Saka Injury a Concern

News from the transfer market might impress all those with Arsenal tickets for the season. Miekel Artetta is putting his hat down for the race to get Leroy Sane’s services from Bayern Munich.

Newcastle were the only club interested in Sane, but now Arteta is confident that his club can acquire him in the transfer window.

Arsenal and Newcastle look to Sané

Arsenal and Newcastle United have joined Barcelona in the race to sign Leroy Sané, according to Ekrem Konur.

Talks between Sané’s representatives and Bayern Munich over a new contract have stalled. The German giants reportedly said they would only extend the 28-year-old’s deal if he took a pay cut, throwing the winger’s future into doubt.

Sané’s current contract expires in June 2025, which means clubs based outside of Germany will be allowed to open negotiations with the former Manchester City flyer as of Jan. 1.

This comes at a strategic point for Arsenal, as they are in line for reinforcements for the next season, and all those with Arsenal tickets will want Arteta to make it happen.

Sané has been at Bayern since 2020, scoring 29 goals in 125 Bundesliga games. He is also a seasoned German international, having debuted for the Mannschaft in 2015.

While Arsenal signed winger Raheem Sterling on loan a few months ago, the potential exit of Leandro Trossard—who has been linked with a move to Saudi Arabia—could see the Gunners target Sané in January.

The Arsenal fans have full confidence in Arteta and the management in their recruitment policy. They’ve not dropped a beat against the heavyweights in the last two seasons, but they are adamant about the players they want. The regulars with Arsenal tickets remember the fight for Declan Rice and how Arteta and Co went to the brim limit to make it happen.

Arsenal Injury Worries

Arsenal hopes to scrape through the remainder of the period without too many worries before a busy eight days sees them face Bournemouth, Shakhtar Donetsk, and Liverpool as the season intensifies again. Mikel

Arteta has already endured one scare with Bukayo Saka and will hope the remainder of his players who will play for their national teams emerge unscathed.

Some have been able to continue promising form, with Leandro Trossard scoring in Belgium’s draw against Italy. The Gunners will certainly hope to hit the ground running against the Cherries.

Mirror Football looks at the last news around the Emirates as the clock ticks down to the return of the Premier League.

Latest on Saka

Fans with Arsenal tickets have not had much luck in recent international breaks. Still, they will be hopeful they can nurture Bukayo Saka back to fitness after it was decided he would not travel with England to play against Finland.

Saka picked up an injury in defeat to Greece and was substituted in the 52nd minute of the 2-1 loss at Wembley. The Arsenal star walked gingerly as he left the stadium, and Lee Carsley confirmed he would undergo a scan.

“He’s being assessed,” he said in his post-match press conference. “Obviously, in the build-up to the first goal, you could see he felt something in his leg.”

Saka, who has started every game for the Gunners this season, instead will return to Arsenal for further assessment of his injury.

Martin Odegaard relief

September’s international break saw Arsenal and Norway captain Martin Odegaard suffer injury and has yet to return to action. Arteta and co have had to manage without their star midfielder, and supporters were left worried in recent days when reports of a setback emerged.

However, there remains an expectation that the 25-year-old could return in November as he recovers from his ankle injury. That remains within Arsenal’s initial hopes of a return.

In his Arsenal program notes last week, Odegaard said: “I just wanted to start with the latest on my injury and rehab. In the last week or so, I’ve made really good progress.

“I’m getting better and better by the day and feel it’s going well. When you feel like things are moving forward, it motivates you to do more and more and work harder. Today is our last game before another international break so that also gives me some more time to work on the rehab.

“Hopefully, it won’t be much longer; we will know more as soon as I get out on the training pitches and see how my ankle responds to that. It’s progressing well at the moment, and it looks better than we were thinking, but we’ve still got to take every day as it comes.”

William Saliba’s transfer stance- Arteta Lashes Out

Arsenal will not be tempted by any bid for star defender William Saliba amid interest from Real Madrid. Los Blancos hopes to strengthen its backline and is understood to have identified the Frenchman as a key target ahead of next summer’s transfer window.

Saliba’s year deal is in 2023, and Arsenal envisages him remaining at the Emirates for a considerable time. The defender is considered ‘untouchable’ and the north London side are unfazed by interest in the player.

Arsenal continues to improve under Mikel Arteta, and to keep his squad competitive for the 2025/26 campaign, the Spanish coach could add a Premier League duo valued at €80m to his squad.

The indication from Arteta is clear—Saliba is not for sale. This should be a good consolation for the fans with Arsenal tickets since they were worried, for instance, that they might lose out on their star defender.

The Gunners have come close to winning the Premier League title in the last two campaigns, and this season may be their chance. Man City are not playing their best football at present and will be without key man Rodri for the remainder of the campaign.

Meanwhile, Arsenal has impressed, and they look like they can shift into another gear once Martin Odegaard returns to action.

If the North London club misses out on the title again this season, it would be a major blow. If they become champions, the Gunners will look to move to another level. Either way, Arteta will need to boost his squad next summer, and the Spanish coach has his eye on two players.

Arteta is Looking for Bournemouth Duo

Sources have told media that Arteta appreciates AFC Bournemouth duo Antoine Semenyo and Milos Kerkez, who the Cherries value at around €80m.

All with Arsenal tickets, the management view Semenyo as a backup for Bukayo Saka. Meanwhile, Kerkez could replace Oleksandr Zinchenko or Kieran Tierney as one, if not both, will be sold in 2025.

However, if the Gunners are to make a move, they will unlikely match Bournemouth’s €80m valuation.

Semenyo has been with Bournemouth since January 2023 but has started to make a name for himself in the Premier League this season with his performances. The winger has produced three goals and one assist across seven league games for the Cherries, and Arsenal is not the only club monitoring his progress under Andoni Iraola.

Sources have said that Tottenham manager Ange Postecoglou is also a fan of Semenyo and that Spurs could challenge their North London rivals in 2025 for the 24-year-old’s signature.
