Mellon seeking fruitful switch

BURNLEY youngster Michael Mellon has pledged to do “whatever it takes” to score goals for Morecambe.
Mellon, 19, is the son of former Clarets striker - and current Tranmere boss -Micky Mellon, who made over 500 career appearances for the likes of Bristol City, West Brom, Blackpool and Tranmere. A product of the Manchester
United youth system, he joined Burnley in 2019 and has scored 12 goals in 18 games for the Clarets’ Under-18 side, plus a further six in nine Premier League 2 appearances.
