Red-hot Middlesbrough striker Chuba Akpom says he is ‘grateful and humbled’ to have bagged the Sky Bet Championship Player of the Month award.
The 27-year-old continued his fine goalscoring run with four goals in as many games in December, with his hat-trick against Wigan showed off his lightning quick feet.
“It’s amazing to receive the award,” he said. “I just want to be able to carry on my form and help the team reach our targets.
