THE tightness of the Championship was highlighted again in midweek as Blackburn and QPR both hit the summit.
Blackburn went top on Tuesday night thanks to a 2-0 home win against former boss Tony Mowbray’s Sunderland.
Ben Brereton Diaz curled a stunning left-footer into the top corner for his eighth goal of the campaign on 32 minutes. Scott Wharton’s closerange header early in the second half sealed victory.
