CARING WALSALL PLAY PART IN REHABILITATING PRISONERS

JAKE Welch doesn’t expect to find the next Pep Guardiola inside HMP Featherstone, but he does hope to give a prisoner a new life.
Welch coaches at Walsall FC and he and the club’s community director Adam Davy go into the prison that has 690 men banged up inside it twice a week.
Walsall is part of the Twinning Project, a charity set up four years ago to use football as rehabilitation for prisoners.
Sixty-nine Premier League and EFL clubs are signed up to it, plus rugby union’s Saracens.
