Bristol City complete signing of Scott Golbourne

have signed full back Scott Golbourne from for an undisclosed fee.

The 27-year-old has put pen to paper on a two-and-a-half-year deal with the club and could go straight into the side for Saturday’s game against .

Golbourne came through the academy at Bristol City before leaving to join in 2006.

He then had spells with and before joining Wolves for a fee believed to be around £700,000 in 2013.

Golbourne made 92 appearances for Wanderers but his contract with the club was due to expire at the end of the season.

The defender told Bristol’s official club website, “I didn’t feel like I got what I wanted out of my Bristol City career so for me it always felt like there was some unfinished business.

I always thought if I did have the chance to come back I’d definitely take the chance.”

After storming to the title last season, Bristol City have had a difficult start to life in the and are currently sitting in 22nd place, one point adrift from safety.
