JOHN McGreal saw his Colchester side blow away champions Lincoln, but was gutted as they missed out on a play-off spot after Newport scored a late leveller at Morecambe.
The U’s ran riot in the first half with two goals from Sammie Szmodics and one from Brennan Dickenson securing victory, but the result at Morecambe saw Mc- Greal’s men slip to eighth.
