Portsmouth FC manager Andy Awford says he has disciplined on-loan youngster Josh Passley for a lack of punctuality in turning up to Saturday's home game against Shrewsbury Town on time.
The 20 year-old arrived at Fratton Park 25 minutes later than instructed to by Awford, a mistake which cost him not only his starting place, but led him to be dropped completely from the team-sheet and sent home.
After a 2-0 defeat to the Shropshire side, Awford sought to discipline the defender on loan from Fulham and received the go ahead from Kit Symons.
Pompey's boss confirmed the player would be available for Friday's game against Carlisle after he said sorry to the squad.
“He is available for Friday. He has apologised to the group so we draw a line under it and move on,”
“It's not the first time it has happened. I'm all for giving people an opportunity and a chance and I've spoken to Josh,” Awford added, with this instance being the third time Passley has been late.
