GARETH Ainsworth hailed two-goal James Brophy’s brilliant performance following this defeat of ten-man Rochdale at the Crown Oil Arena.
Former Cambridge and Leyton Orient winger Brophy, who signed for the Gills at the end of last season, opened the scoring with an impressive curling shot in the 32nd minute, but it was his 68th-minute second, and Gillingham’s fourth goal, that had his boss Ainsworth purring.
