Brereton worth a punt at £10m

IT is no surprise that Blackburn Rovers rejected an £8.4m offer from Nice for their star striker Ben Brereton Diaz. The Chile international may have only one year left on his contract but any player who scores 20 Championship goals is worth at least nine figures in the current market. What would be a major surprise is if Premier League clubs did not look to test Rovers’ resistance with an offer of £10m-plus.
