BLACKBURN BOSS TONY MOWBRAY ON ROVERS’ RISE

THE last time Tony Mowbray was flying higher than this week was over 12 years ago with his home-town club Middlesbrough.
Until QPR won at Derby on Monday night, Mowbray was fourth in the Championship with Blackburn Rovers, one of the stories of the season so far.
Mowbray started the 2009-10 season well when he was Boro boss and was third in the Championship with a 2-0 win at Reading in the October.
His climb to fourth as Blackburn manager with the win at Stoke last Saturday is as high as he’s got since then.
