Covid-hit Owls Reach next round with ease

ANDY Holdsworth praised Sheffield Wednesday’s “professional” job as they overcame a Covid-19 outbreak to defeat Exeter City.
The Owls had to shut their training ground this week due to a “significant number” of cases, and named only four substitutes.
Caretaker boss Neil Thompson missed the game due to having to go into isolation, leaving Holdsworth to oversee the Championship strugglers.
And they eased past Exeter thanks to goals from Adam Reach and Callum Paterson, leaving Holdsworth delighted.
