Northampton Town’s Sam Hoskins talks us through his football memories

First game you watched live?
It was at The Dell, Southampton’s old ground. I seem to remember going to watch them against Fulham, and Southampton lost 1-0. I would only have been about five or six at the time.
First football hero?
As bad as it sounds, even though I grew up in Southampton, I’m a Manchester United fan. My dad supports United so I went for them as well. So I always looked up to David Beckham – I remember watching him a lot when I was growing up, he set the standard high.
