SAD as it is to see the thoroughly decent Gary Bowyer depart Bradford, the umpteenth coming of Stuart McCall shows a welcome outbreak of sense at Valley Parade.
McCall’s dismissal back in February 2018 was never about results, performances or any of the other metrics customarily used to justify a managerial scapegoat.
The Bantams, after all, were sixth in League One when the axe fell. What scuppered McCall was a failure to kowtow to the egotistical Edin Rahic.
