FUMING RAMS HIT OUT AT EFL OVER CHARGE

FURIOUS Derby County are on a collision course with the EFL after branding the decision to charge them with a breach of spending rules as ‘unlawful’. On Thursday, the EFL announced that the Rams had been charged with excess losses.
Spending regulations allow Championship clubs to lose £39million over a three-year period. Derby reported combined pre-tax losses of just over £8m for the period in question, having posted a profit of £14.6m in their latest accounts.
