OFF-KEY BEES IN BID TO PICK UP SPEED

BRENTFORD were tipped by some people to be dark horses in the Championship this season, but they haven’t yet managed to break into a gallop.
Heading into the weekend, the Bees were 17th in the table with just eight points from their opening eight games. Usually a free-scoring side in recent seasons, the Griffin Park outfit notched just five goals in those encounters and are clearly missing the impact of last season’s top scorer Neal Maupay, who moved to Premier League Brighton this summer.
