SWINDON manager Richie Wellens has been charged with improper conduct following an incident in the Carabao Cup clash with Colchester.
The Robins confirmed Wellens was sent off by referee Charles Breakspear after the full-time whistle, along with Colchester assistant boss Steve Ball.
However, a statement issued by the club suggests the charge relates to “Wellens’ behaviour in the tunnel area at halftime”. Swindon’s Jerry Yates and U’s full-back Cohen Bramall were both dismissed during the game. Wellens has until 6pm on Monday, August 19 ...
