IT SEEMS absurd that no member of Sheffield United’s back three made the PFA team of the season. Preweekend, the Blades had the joint-best defensive record in the Championship.
It is, however, important to remember that voting takes place in early March – at which point, United had kept just four of the ten clean sheets that has anchored their stellar run-in. Were the ballot held now, it would likely be a very different story.
