CLUBS TO MEET UP OVER GIBSON CLAIMS…

CHAMPIONSHIP clubs are set to meet on Wednesday – after Middlesbrough chairman Steve Gibson hit out over rivals’ spending. Gibson wants the EFL to investigate Derby, Aston Villa and Sheffield Wednesday over what he believes to be breaches of financial regulations. While Boro have sold players worth over £40m, Gibson is believed to have become frustrated about other clubs getting around the rules.
He has called a special meeting of all the Championship clubs to address the matter and it could well be a heated affair.
