MARTIN Braithwaite’s time on Teesside has not gone well. The Dane cost Boro a £9m transfer fee, £30,000 a week in wages and delivered diddly squat.
Now, after half a season on loan in France, he is licking his wounds after demanding a move to Leganes that ultimately fell through.
It is hardly stellar conduct from Braithwaite, whose manager Tony Pulis admitted to feeling ‘very disappointed’.
Let’s be reasonable, though. At 27, Braithwaite was handed the chance to swap England’s second tier for a place in La Liga.
