MEADES FORCED TO RETIRE

AFC WIMBLEDON’S Jon Meades has retired from football at the age of 26 following a long-term struggle with an ankle injury.
The left-back made 118 appearances for the Wombles, but took his decision having consulted medical specialists about his condition.
“At the end of last season it looked like he had finally put his persistent ankle injury problems behind him,” said Dons manager Neal Ardley.
