THE news that the FA are keen to have a black, Asian and minority ethnic manager, assistant manager or coach for all their sides in the future is a welcome one.
There has been a lack of diversity in football management for a long time and there is no doubt that many talented people have been lost to the game. Some may have the badges, but not been able to get a job.
Others may simply have decided there’s no point doing the coaching courses if there are unlikely to be jobs at the end of it.
