SHAYON IS KEEN ON NEW BOSS

TOTTENHAM striker Shayon Harrison says the prospect of playing for Chris Powell was a key factor in his decision to move to Southend on loan for the season.
The 20-year-old became Powell’s first signing after making 15 appearances on loan at League Two Yeovil last season.
“I thought it was a perfect move for me,” explained Harrison. “People at Spurs have spoken to me about the manager (Powell) and how he’s developed young players.”
Southend have also signed Crystal Palace striker Freddie Ladapo, 25, on a six-month deal.
