NO side in the entire EFL has over-performed quite like Shrewsbury. Tipped to struggle, Paul Hurst’s side lost none of their first 15 games and – even after a bleak November – remain second in League One.
It’s a wonderful story but, like Leyton Orient in 2014 or Tranmere a year earlier, it feels like a nowor- never deal. For all the fine work behind the scenes, Shrewsbury ain’t rich enough to reject allcomers.
