DEAL FOR HUTCH ‘IS CRUCIAL’

JED Wallace believes tying Shaun Hutchinson to a new long-term contract is an real statement of intent from Millwall.
Centre-back Hutchinson, 27, penned a new three-year-deal last week, keeping him at the Den until the summer of 2020.
“If I was a fan, I’d say what are Millwall going to do in the summer?,” said winger Wallace, 23. “Are they happy to stagnate in the Championship and try to stay up or are they going to try and keep their best players? Hutch is certainly one of our best.
