LONG ODDS ON MACK-ING A PROFIT ON THAT CRAZY BET

FOR a crazy few hours on Thursday afternoon, one bookie was offering 1,500-1 on Sunderland winning promotion.
Anyone who lumped on was swiftly rewarded. As punters exploited the deal, odds collapsed, leading to a bizarre situation in which a £10 bet placed at 1pm could be cashed out for £50 at 4pm. Sadly, I missed this little racket.
Of course, anyone resisting the temptation of an instant profit could now be set for a fifteen g rand windfall in May.
They shouldn’t hold their breath. Victory over Burton last weekend was moraleboosting and Chris Coleman is certainly a coup....
