ADAM Yates is grateful for all the support he has received following a horrific collision with a teammate in a reserve match.
The Port Vale defender suffered a fractured nose, cheekbones and eye socket as well as a broken upper jaw and wrist as he crashed into goalkeeper Sam Hornby.
The 34-year-old, ruled out for all of last season with a cruciate knee ligament injury, must now wait to discover the longterm impact of the accident, which took place against Morecambe.
